I began my career at a high tech PR agency outside of Boston. I was fortunate to work with 29 different clients – from the large established leaders to emerging, venture backed startups – during my nine years there. For all my accounts, I covered the spectrum of media and analyst relations. For all my clients, I built programs that put those companies on the map and added value to their businesses.

From there, I joined ZoomInfo as the director of corporate communications to help rebrand the company as a business information search engine and expand into sales and marketing. We also built a community of bloggers and played with several social media tools. Recently I returned to my enterprise B2B technology roots as the director of communications at SailPoint Technologies, and am currently experimenting with social media in the enterprise arena (let’s face it – while Web 2.0 market is fantastically fun to do PR in, social media is an easier, and less challenging, sell there).

This blog is an evolving project, where I present a first person account of what does and does not work as I experiment with social media and new PR strategies. I’ll also sprinkle in my thoughts on communications, measurement, the dichotomy of agency vs. client side PR roles, social media and anything else that strikes me as interesting.
