Great “pitch” idea

Check out the Bad Pitch blog for a great pitch coming out of Weber. When I was at an agency, we were always coming up with clever ploys to “get past the inbox” and get on the radar of media, and it seems like they did just that with this.
Of course, anyone in PR is probably asking: “What kind of budget did they have for that?” That’s always the biggest hurdles for clever schemes like this :)

Interesting. We went to a Pub Club panel last night where a few of the journalists mentioned they get 500 emails a day, and 5 pieces of snail mail. An editor at the BBJ said if we send him a snail mail note he’ll be sure to read it. Maybe snail mail will come back into fashion, kind of like leg warmers.
