I took an unintended break from blogging to focus on a major new product/strategic direction at ZoomInfo. It was a major undertaking for the entire company to launch a new product, a new search engine, a new “about us” section of the site … and the list goes on. I’ve always loved launches when I was at the agency, especially the last few days before the news hits, when you’re running in 80 directions and trying to stay five steps ahead.

This was my first time working on a major launch at an internal position. It was great to be able to devote all (ok, most) of my energy on the launch. I also loved being to see how much work from so many different teams came together for a single, massive event. Agency teams don’t always have direct exposure to product development (until they’re ready for media interviews), and now I have a greater appreciation for how much work goes on behind the scenes.

Put simply, the last month has been busy and insane and nuts, and a lot of fun. Check out our new site, and of course the great coverage LP&P secured (gotta love a launch with coverage in, among others, publications like the Red Herring, BusinessWeek, Reuters).
